Roman Glass Kinetic Ring

This ring was created with Roman rings of old in mind. A fairly narrow band with embellished sides and a round signet-style face set with authentic Roman glass found it archeological excavations. This is a kinetic ring – the face of the ring moves so it can fit comfortably on any person’s finger. A truly majestic looking ring.

The pieces of Roman glass discovered throughout the Holy Land. The occupation of the Holy Land by the Roman Empire in about 55 BC has left remains from that time and civilization. Glass perfume and oil phials, glass jugs and bottles (or broken pieces of these objects) are being excavated in Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Caesaria, Nazareth, Hebron, Masada and other Sites of ancient Roman occupation. (Objects that are excavated intact, are transferred to the Israel Museum and are very highly valued). The glass is authentic Roman glass, characterized by vibrant shades of blues, greens, whites, and often pinks and yellows.
