These Round-shaped earrings are combined with authentic, ancient Roman glass and sterling silver balls surrounding the glass for decoration. The silver is partially oxidized, creating an interesting contrast between the glass, the shiny silver setting, -and the blackened decoration surrounding the glass. The Roman glass is authentic, unearthed during archeological excavations in Israel.

The pieces of Roman glass discovered throughout the Holy Land from time that the Roman Empire Ruled in the Holyland about 55 BC. Glass perfume and oil phials, glass jugs and bottles (or broken pieces of these objects) are being excavated in Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Caesaria, Nazareth, Hebron, Masada and other Sites of ancient Roman occupation. (Objects that are excavated intact, are transferred to the Israel Museum, and are very highly valued). The Roman glass characterized by vibrant shades of blues, greens, whites, and often pinks and yellows.
